India What field do you currently work in? International Trade consultancy offering solutions for exports and imports. What fields have you worked in before? Banking with 25 years of experience in foreign exchange. What qualifications do you hold? B.A economics and various other banking related courses. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both, formal education imparts the basic knowledge on the subject of choice coupled with our own ability to understand and gain further knowledge to produce the maximum output. Skills are developed over a period of time and experience gained contribute to our skills. Describe the benefits of working with others The role one plays either as an administrative position or a subordinate role involves interaction with individuals and in a work situation the benefit lies in contributing effectively by polling the knowledge and work skills of various individuals. Describe the benefits of working alone The benefits lies in the ability to analyse, evaluate and asses the work done and to come to a decision on various issues. What was your worst working experience? The interference from the workers union has often being a matter of concern, my worst experience was when the workers refused to attend to customers on the basis of the union's instructions to pen down strike, the customers were forced to go unattended. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To be very clear in our goal, and to maintain a very healthy and transparent relationship with our collegues and others. What unique skills do you have? Being resourceful, and a solution finder to any situation and applying common sense has played a very important role for my success.I posses a unique ability to be calm and collected even under great stress. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be were I would be able to creatively contribute new dimension to the company's profile and to bring in all the future technological inputs to enhance the image of the institution I work. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Contribution and involvement in the progress and prosperity of the company whom you service by way of providing solutions to their problems. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Interference from individuals who either don't understand or do not want to understand certain aspects of mutual interest.
