| Civil/Structural Engineer Capable of providing civil design services including preparation of civil/site work drawings, structural evaluations and designs, and water/sewer designs based on existing local utilities and facility load and use. CE personnel shall be able to use AutoCAD to create presentable and accurate facility and infrastructure plans for concept and statement of work requirements for project execution. Specific work shall involve preparing plans and specifications for the removal of black and grey water tanks and the install of sewer and water services to various buildings throughout BAF and the design of drainage projects. CE personnel shall be capable of using a total station to acquire surveying topography. I recently found your post for a civil/structural engineer position at Bagram AB. I was at BAF for 3 months providing the same duties outlined in your post, until about 2 months ago when I was re-deployed to Kandahar to continue the same duties. I currently work for IAP under contract to the 577th Expeditionary Prime BEEF Group/777 EPBS. In this role, I prepare 100% construction documents and 35% design-build documents for a wide variety of projects at BAF, KAF, and FOBs throughout the Afghanistan theatre. I have experience using survey equipment and have personnel management/supervisory experience as well.I am interested to learn more about this position and opportunities it offers.
