Staff Nursing, Orthopedics and Medical-Surgical What qualifications do you hold? PALS, BLS, AND ACLS. Will be taking the Med-Surg certification in May 2011. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I value them both because hands on training along with fundamental education is necessary for improvementand advancement. Describe the benefits of working with others Benefits are teamwork, socialization, and experiencing diversity with different people. Describe the benefits of working alone Benefits are taking initive and to be able to establish a rapport with clients and coworkers. What was your worst working experience? I've been a nurse for thirteen years and have never had a worst experience. However, I been at the same location for the entire time. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learned throughtout my career that every person is different with different views and I must respect that. I've also learned being a teamplayer, leader, and one who takes initiative plays and important part in improvement. What unique skills do you have? Unique skills that I have is participating in the Nursing Practice Counsel at my current employment. I also participate in the Nursing Team for Mckesson (computer charting for nurses and physicial). What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is leading the nursing team to excellence. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Attaining a learning experience and being able to get more education. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I dont specialize in Pediactrics. Therefore, this field I rather not seek.
