Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider skills more valuable than formal education. Skills make me shape my future, they broaden my mind, when you are skilled it means you have the ability and the capacity to execute a job, whereas formal education only serves as the foundation. A skilled labour contributes a lot to the company in terms of production & the growth of the company. If you are skilled it means you are professional enough you can even open your own business in the long run because you have what it takes.

Describe the benefits of working with others

You gain experience through team work and exploring of ideas with others

Describe the benefits of working alone

Whatever you make is yours, you supervise yourself and make your own decisions.

What was your worst working experience?

My worst working experience was when one of the clients refused to pay for his computer after having serviced it. Everything had been put in place and the computer was running smoothly but the client was not satisfied with service rendered due to the fact that his computer not cleaned. The computer was later on blown and cleaned but no money was paid, I ended up footing the bill.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

The most important lesson I have learnt throughout my career is that as a computer technician I should always have enough tools and I'm encouraged to keep abreast with the ever changing technology and whatever business I do service delivery is more important than money.

What unique skills do you have?

When it comes to servicing computers I know exactly what is expected of me. I focus & always try to display potential in whatever I do, perform up to the required standard. I sometimes put myself on standby when am offduty. To me servicing computers is more of a game than a career and I'm also a computer instructor & I love it, it's fabulous.

Being a music producer is one of them but in life any stable job that generates income becomes a priority to me

Dealing with hardware and software problems, troubleshooting, partitioning, formating and installation of operating system & application programs.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The least interesting aspects of my field are that as a technician the company depends on me so I must always ensure that the company operates in a conducive environment with all computers running efficiently and smoothly.

What kind of a computer technician would you prefer?

I would prefer a skilled and hard working computer technician.
