Hotel and catering industry What fields have you worked in before? 24 years catering industry. What qualifications do you hold? I am a formally educated chef , baker / pastry chef and waiter. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal education plus work experience is best. If you have formal education your foundations should be solid. Describe the benefits of working with others It is a good working as a team drawing from each others strengths. Describe the benefits of working alone you do as you please. What was your worst working experience? Working as an agency chef i was asked to work at a restaurant that had a good reputation on reporting for work the kitchen was so dirty and unhygienic that i left after an hour. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Keep calm and carry on! then you win. What unique skills do you have? I do what i say i will do!
