What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak English,Shona and Ndebele at higher level Afrikaans,Suthu and French at begginners level and Xhosa,Zulu and Nyanja at intermediate level. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking forward to work in Namibia,Oshakate or Windhoek.I will be able to be around and near people whose spiritual doctrine I share. What countries have you worked in? Zimbabwe. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None. What field do you currently work in? I am currently unemployed. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as an all rounder Management trainee with the Victoria Falls Hotel. What qualifications do you hold? I have Higher National Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the School of Tourism and Hospitality in Zimbabwe. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think skills education is more valuable than formal education because it equips you with the technical know how of a particular job.people with skills can apply their knowledge on the job to achieve results and are more valuable to the company unlike formal education which might require a company to spend resources training their staff.To add on,most of what is learnt through formal education does not apply to todays fast changing economy. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others would mean;more ideas shared,the more you are the greater the brain pull;less time spent achieving goals,which means everyone works together in achieving a goal therefore it is done faster;increased motivation,a sense of belonging,delegation simplified,risk is spread meaning everyone is responsible for an outcome. Describe the benefits of working alone Faster decision making as I do not have to consult anyone. What was your worst working experience? When the computer system shut down on me while guests needed to be checked in and checked out. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? A guest is always right and that he is king. What unique skills do you have? I can play a violin and recorder. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? CEO of a well to do chain of Tourism and Hospitality group. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Meeting people,travelling,living the good life,good food and being able to learn other peoples cultures and langauges. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The long working hours. Why do you want to work outside your country? I would like to be gainfully employed and my country is not offering that at the moment.I would love to experience the Namibian welcome.
