What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a Pastry Chef, Head Pastry chef or Executive Pastry Chef position with a forward-moving company where we can both aid in each others growth.

I am business focused, quality driven, creative Senior Hotel Management Professional with an outstanding track record of managing 4 and 5 star hotels, Luxury Restaurants, multi outlet Bread and pastries production unit operations all over the Caribbean and Mexico seeking to improve my experience regionally. Trained with renowned American, Italian, and UK Chefs. History of providing clear vision and direction to drive business growth and profitability in highly competitive environments. Good business acumen and analytical skills underscored by positive hands on management style and an innovative approach. Highly successful in empowering team members to perform at peak levels.

What State are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking to work in Alaska because I have seen and heard of its beauty and pleasant people and I would love the opportunity to grow there career wise as well as personally.

What field do you currently work in?

Currently I am working as head Pastry chef.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have worked in the Hospitality Industry as well as the Construction Industry previously.

What qualifications do you hold?

I hold an Associates Degree in Food Preparation (stated on my CV) as well as training with some of Europe's and America's top class chef's (also listed on my CV) and over 13 years of hands on Experience.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider skills more valuable as to why I say this from my own experience. I have learned alot more since completing my Education through hands on training.

Describe the benefits of working with others

The benefits of working with other is sharing the knowledge base. Being able to pass on your experience and gain from others as well which is then a great tool in producing quality product and personal as well as career, and company satisfaction.

Describe the benefits of working alone

For me working alone, there are less distractions, more focused as you attentions are focused on the tasks and on completing it in a timely and quality fashion.

What was your worst working experience?

I wouldn't like to say it was my worse experience per say as I like to look at things that may not go the right way as opportunity to learn, grown and experience.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I have learnt that a love of and for your work is key, better results are obtained when you have that personal quality invested so you're better able to be a success not just for you but for 'the'company as well.

What unique skills do you have?

I'm sure hardworking isn't a unique skill since many people are but for me it is as well as my dedication.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

A job where I love the work, like the people, can contribute and can't wait to get to work everyday.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

I enjoy the challenge of a fast-moving environment and the satisfaction gained from fulfilling customer needs.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

I would have to say the hours which can sometimes take away from family and personal life.
