| Video: 12/10/2009 Begich Addresses Alaska's Concerns w/ the FAA On Dec. 10, 2009, Alaska Senator Mark Begich questioned FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt about the status of FAA personnel and jobs in Alaska. As the only state with Flight Service Stations under the administration of the FAA, Sen. Begich stressed the importance of maintaining that relationship and the need to address staffing issues in Alaska. Administrator Babbitt absolved concerns that Alaska's facilities would undergo significant changes and committed to report back to Sen. Begich with information on the staffing and training of Alaska's Flight Service Stations. Flight Service Stations preform a vital service to ensure the safety of planes with their service before, during, and after flights. |
