What nationality are you? I am a Filipino. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I can speak English fluently, Chinese Fookien and of course our native language, Filipino. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Since my family has a pending immigrant application in Canada, I prefer to work in British Columbia, Manitoba, Alberta or Ottawa. We have some friends and relatives in these provinces that might help us to settle when we arrive in Canada. But I'll also consider opportunities in other countries like Australia, New Zealand or in UK. What countries have you worked in? Only in the Philippines. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None as of the moment. What field do you currently work in? I am currently connected with a large multinational Insurance firm here in the Philippines as a Financial Planner/Consultant. What fields have you worked in before? I've worked as a secretary, a bookkeeper, and an English/Chinese tutor before. What qualifications do you hold? As a mother of 3 wonderful children, I am efficient in food handling, housekeeping and discipline. I am also good in research, event planning and organizing. I am a computer literate. My top skill in my stint of employment was being a purchaser or buyer, that's an additional task assigned to me. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal education and skill goes hand-in-hand. In order to communicate and express yourself efficiently, one must be well educated. But in our current global crisis, a skill is very essential to obtain a good job. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is very valuable, because interaction is important to improve one's competency and character. Describe the benefits of working alone working alone achieves silence, effective time management and self-discipline. What was your worst working experience? When my patience got tested by stubborn kids, but I don't consider it my worst experience, because I've learned to fully exercise my self-control and patience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? All my work experiences has turn me into a better person. I've become a great communicator, resourceful, gained more patience and understanding. What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
