Formal education provides citizens with a complete understanding of their area of study as well as the credentials to gain employment in various fields as well as internationally as desired. With education, a person needs a particular skill or a variety of skills to be capable and marketable for employment. A variety of both, formal education and marketable skills, provides more options in terms of gaining employment. In particular, a formal education in English will open more doors for Algerians to gain employment in a rapidly growing global economy. Personally, I have also learned that I have a distinct interest in teaching immerging readers and learners of the English language. What unique skills do you have? What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My 'dream job' is specifically to teach English as a second language in a developing country such as Algeria. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspect of the education field is to be an integral part of an individual's education and watching their growth. Also, working with families in teaching them how to enhance the education of their child is an awarding part of my field. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least intersting aspect of my job is probably the amount of standardized testing required of students. Although it provides a wonderful picture of the academic growth of students, it does put immense pressure on teachers to 'teach to the test' as a whole instead of spending the time on individual educational goals. How does and educator teach English as a Second Language? It has been my experience that immersion is the most effective way to teach a second language. How can potential employers contact you?
