Nalco currently have a great opportunity for a Finance Supervisor to join their Energy Services Division based in Luanda, Angola. The Finance Supervisor will be working in partnership with the current Finance Manager and will be a stepping stone to a Finance Managerial position within Nalco in 1 to 2 years.Other Responsibilities include:
Supervise a current team of 3 people in a subsidiary of the company in Angola. This subsidiary is growing at a rate of 50% per year.
Co-responsible for all accounting functions for the company in Angola including proper recording of international transactions with headquarters in the USA, and monthly financial reporting to management & shareholders.
Oversight of the accounting and administrative support team.
Review and approve journal entries, GL accounts reconciliation, bank accounts reconciliation, and booking to physical inventory reconciliation.
Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate policies and procedures to ensure adequate internal controls.
Cash management, debt payments, payments to shareholders, cash flow projections.
Manage working capital, (particularly receivables collection) accounts to maximise cash flow.
Completion of local statutory and tax requirements.
Periodic reconciliation of local statutory accounts with management accounts in US GAAP.
Support in the implementation of an ERP System to support management of local information.
Budget process supervision.
The minimum qualifications the candidate will have include:
Degree educated in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
Angolan Nationality.
Fluent in Portuguese and English.
Several years of experience in Finance or Accounting, affording the expertise and credibility to do the job well.
Must possess strong leadership skills and have a hands-on approach.
The desired candidate will have professional experience to include:
Manufacturing costing.
Knowledge of integrated systems (could be SAP, JDE, SCALA, etc.).
Internal controls or audit experience.
