Looking for a job

What type of job are you looking for?

Any bank related

What nationality are you?

Born angolan, grew up in Namibia and now Namibian citizen

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Portuguese, English, Afrikaans, Rukwangali, Oshiwambo

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Angola, this is my mother country, and I would like to see my kids understanding our culture much better.

What countries have you worked in?

I have worked in Namibia only.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

I currently do not have any work visa.

What field do you currently work in?

I am currently working as a bulk teller, at Standard bank

What fields have you worked in before?

I worked for telecom namibia, conducting research survey, which was for a very short period. Then I worked as a Information teller at the bank.

What qualifications do you hold?

I have a grade 12 qualification.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Education is the key to success, formal education is valuable as it allows a person to have a better understanding of the countries economy. Skills on the other hand are an added bonus to jobs seekers and those offering jobs, as less training will be offered meaning saving cost.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working in a team is good as we learn more from others, getting better ways of doing things and it also helps understanding other people's culture and norms.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone is good as you dont rely on someone to get something done. You also get to reach your target on time.

What was your worst working experience?

Currently I wouldn't say I've exprienced a worst working as every day I am enjoying what I am doing.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I learned that customers are always right. And the more a person enjoys the work that they are doing the more productive they become.

What unique skills do you have?

The fact that is speak different languages and also being computer literate.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

A job were I will see customers get the best service and enjoying products being offered.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The most interesting aspects of my field are find arears, reconcling books at the end of the day.
