"Paramedic"

hi there I am extremely interested in working as a paramedic in antarctica. I am 28 year old Canadian. I currently work as a chemical weapons inspector as a health and safety specialists for the organization for prohibition of chemical weapons before that I I have spent over ten years working in pre hospital care as a paramedic for the city of calgary and other services throughout Alberta. in that time I have specialized in remote medical/rescue I have trained and work as a independent remote medic throughout the central america and northern Canada and northern Russia. I wish to expand my experience as well as I feel I could become a valuable asset to any team. I have little ties to prevent me from traveling for long periods of time and have experienced working for long durations in remote locations. take you for your time and would be grateful for any information or opportunities take care and hope to hear from you soon.

"Medical Program Coordinator"

Jesse,

I am in the early stages of putting a proposal together, the "paramedica position" is currently covered by the fire department, but there is still a possibility of other needs. What the requirments are: Trauma exp. need ACLS/BLS;

Due to the nature of the work environment, all medical personnel will have experience with trauma/emergency medicine in occupational settings, both light and heavy, in extreme cold, to address situations such as crushing, multiple injuries, chest and abdominal penetrating wounds, amputation, etc., as well as hyperbaric medicine.

Thank author of this post/comment"Experienced Austere Provider"

I am a RN, CEN, NREMTP who is interested in future job opportunities in Antarctica. I have worked in Emergency Nursing, Advanced Practice, Wilderness, Military, Civilian and Industrial EMS. I have worked in this career field for over thirty year. (No. That doesn't make me old, just "well seasoned"!) Currently I work in a high volume Emergency Department/Trauma Center (100, 000 pts/yr +). I also work as the Medical Coordinator and SAR director for a large adventure race company.
