In my field you can have several different type of nurses with several types of degrees. I would rather work with someone that has great skills with a lower degree than someone with the theory behind the skills down but no actuall hands on experience. Ideally it would be best to have the skills and a formal education. Describe the benefits of working with others I just said the other day that I love to go to work becuase I get to work with my second family. When things work right and everyone is working together you can rely on one another and put trust in your coworkers. Even when things should be getting out of hand you have your coworkers there to help you and pull you up. I love to learn from others and to also teach those that I work with. If I worked alone I would never grow in my profession or as a person. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone allows you to take ownership in the task and work without distractions. What was your worst working experience? I worked in a nursing home as the only male. The women that worked there "delegated" everything onto me and really treated me horrible. It was also horrible because of the conditions of the patients. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To trust yourself and not be afraid to speak up. I have learned that open and honest communication is the only way to effectively solve a problem. Also to get involved with the place you work, dont make it another job where you clock in and out, make it your second home. What unique skills do you have? I am a natural leader that learns quickly.
