What type of job are you looking for?

Any job in support services, cooking, maintenance

What nationality are you?

American

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Antarctica I think this would be the most exciting thing I can imagine, I have always wanted to go there. I think this would be a great experience for me. A big fan of winter and colder regions.

What field do you currently work in?

Hourly service

What fields have you worked in before?

Restaurant and hospitality, maintenance

What qualifications do you hold?

10 yrs plus experience in restaurant cooking and service, many maintenance jobs, from painting to light carpentry. Construction equipment operation ( forklifts, tractors, etc).

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both can certainly offer many benefits. Skills because many times one must improvise in situations that arise on any job, problem solving is certainly something that is important.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Learning, Others can teach you and you have the chance to teach others. Being part of a team can be fulfilling and challenging , plus its good to make friends.

Describe the benefits of working alone

As for me, I would say that I stay focused on the job. Setting a pace and sticking to it.

What was your worst working experience?

A fight between two fellow workers at a restaurant, it could have gotten out of control, but it stop the flow that is needed in working in a kitchen.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Always be open to other peoples experience and ideas, to help as well as listen and keeping the lines of communication open is very important.

What unique skills do you have?

I have done a wide variety of jobs and am good at problem solving, and fixing things.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

One that offers travel. One that is important and can be challenging.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Meeting alot of peoople

Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Sometimes when it is slow
