I am a mid carrier professional with skills and experience in social development and regional co-ordination., Facilitation , Programming and Business development Academically, I am a Biology graduate from the University of Pacific , Hawaii, United States of America and a scholarship holder to the University of Delhi India.
I have more than seven years of work experience in Social development , community development and business development work, locally and Internationally. I have lived in countries in Asia and Austral Asia
.Currently, I am working as a Facilitator /Programme coordinator for Sri Lanka OTI (Multiple Political Party Dialogue Process which includes Conflicting parties of war.) Also I recently completed 2 ½ years as a Senior Programme Coordinator /Senior Professional at International Alert (Understanding Peace .Building Peace ), an International Non Governmental Organization (INGO ) operating from London and was in their Colombo Office and was released to work for the Business for Peace Alliance (BPA) a network of 24 regional business chambers working for the empowerment of Regions and was the Head Of Operations for more than a year I have been with International Alert Sri Lanka almost over two and half years. I have immense knowledge and experience in Progarmming, Facilitating , Research and traveling (driving) through regions of Sri Lanka from North to South and I clearly have a understanding of the Country and its people.
I have worked for 2 years in Maldives a large Hotels and Travel group named Kaimoo Travels & Hotels & Resort Pvt in the Maldives handling the Agro- Chemicals and the Pest controlling division. as a Senior Manager (Business Development & Planning ) and as a Marketing Manager I was employed in this job prior to my present job with International Alert. Even in the Maldives my traveling through deferent Atolls and Islands and my practical experience working with Pesticides and Agro Chemicals and Implementing pest Control Solutions to Islanders of Maldives according to WHO(World Health Organization) safety guidelines is some thing that I learned with dedication .
Prior to the job in the Maldives I was Publications Assistant to the HE the President of Sri Lanka handling media relations and community event planning.
I am an award winning artist and have published several articles in the national , International and regional news papers, which was honored and appreciated by President of the Maldives and High commissioner and Ministers of the Maldives
