personal assistantWhat type of job are you looking for? I would like to find a busy executive who would benefit from an educated, articulate, experienced, well traveled personal assistant. I am attractive, intelligent, an excellent problem solver, creative and resourceful. I have a wide variety of interests including non profit organizations, management, teaching, physical activities and experience working in health care and teaching workshop, seminars and I am an excellent public speaker. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English only What State are you looking to work in and why? Primarily Arizona, my home but I enjoy traveling to California, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Mexico, Belize and Costa Rica. What field do you currently work in? I am currently a business consultant with a focus on non profit organizations for health care, animal rescue and education. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as an Executive Director for foundations focusing on autism, equine facilitated therapy,education and personal secretary and/or assistant. What qualifications do you hold? BA Ohio State University, 10 years experience in education andd 10 years as a personal consultant and assistant. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? FOrmal education is important however I have found that since obtaining my degree my life experiences and skills that I have acquired in the field so to speak are invaluable. Problem solving, cretive solutions, even temperment, communication skills and public relations cannot be taught in school but must be lerned first hand. Describe the benefits of working with others I learn from everyone I meet, regardless of their age or background. Every person brings their knowledge, expertise, personality and creative way of dealing and solving problems which is an invaluable learning experience. Describe the benefits of working alone Focus, accomplishing tasks quickly and easily, fewer distractions, and sometimes the best solutions are my solutions. Consultations with others is beneficial however sometimes my personal work ethics, experience and knowledge is what I need to draw on without debate, meetings and presentations to groups for voting, this sometimes takes to much times and still reaches the same goals. What was your worst working experience? telemarketing What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learned to be an excellent listener, a lesson I have learned well and has served me well for many years. I am also a life coach so this is an important asset for problem solving and allowing people to find their path with gentle guidance. What unique skills do you have? I am an art therapist, sound therapist and equine facilitated therapist. I have founded two successful non profit organizations and a strong background in alternative health care, and I am a reiki practitioner. All of these skills have benefited me throughout my career. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Executive Director of an organization that support and is active with alternative treatment modalities for individuals with learning, emotionsl or behavior challenges. I have many resources and know many people with strong healing talents to serve individuals who struggle with life issues and challenges. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? the people I meet and help, also those that I work with because I become very close in a work environment which becomes a lasting relationship. The variety and challenge since no two people or issues are alike and finding solutions is so much fun and such a challenge. I have not found a case yet that I have not beenable to solve.
