Looking for employment in Juba, Sudan.

What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for employment as a registered nurse, nurse educator or trainer, health worker, and science roles for instance in agriculture organisations and so on.

What nationality are you?

Sudanese-Australain

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Kuku, Juba-Arabic, Swahili, Luganda, English.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I an looking for employment in Sudan especially Juba because is my country and I would like to serve my people.

What countries have you worked in?

I have only worked in Australia.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

I have Australian passport and I'm not sure of what countries I can work in but I think I can work in Sudan, News Zeland, Britain, Canada and USA.

What field do you currently work in?

I currently work in Nursing field as a registered nurse and retail industry as post-office services officer.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have worked before as a laboratory assistant, personal care worker, translator/interpretor, stock-take consultant and waitress/kitchen-hand.

What qualifications do you hold?

Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) and Bachelor of Nursing.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both formal education and skils go together. This is because one need formal education which is an important part of personal developement. It starts from the time one is born until the time one dies. Formal education is needed to gain knowledge and skills and which needs continual learning to keep up to date.

Describe the benefits of working with others

It helped me to understand my role and the roles of others to ensure sucessful outomes. I was able to develope problem-solving approach to tasks and as a result has helped in formulating action plans. I was able to work together to brainstorm ideas.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Own decision maker, master planner and boss. For example one can choose when to start a task and when to complete it.

What was your worst working experience?

The job was full-on and draining. The patients and their family members were too demanding and too much work yet scarce staffs to cope with the demand.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I have learned to behave myself, kind and respect others. To be patient and calm even when condition is not good.

What unique skills do you have?

Working independently and in a team environment. Highly observant and quick to identify, understand and resolve problems. Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse background. Excellent management and organisational skills. Highly competent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Securing NGO employment that require me to work with people because my strength is nurturing others as I'm gifted in this area. In health or science area.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Overall I enjoyed doing my work but I just had ocasional bad days.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Least interesting aspects of my career is that sometimes it can be demanding and full-on due to shortage of staff. Other staff can be rude and mean to patients and other workers. Otherwise my career was great.
