Teaching Job in the BahamasWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for a teaching job wherein I can share my knowledge, skills and talents. What nationality are you? I am a Filipino Science and Technology Teacher and I've been exposed to teaching since 2001 during my in-Campus practice teaching at the Mariano Marcos State University Science High School where I developed lots of my teaching approaches and strategies and this teaching experience gave me the opportunity to teach my field of specialization at the Pasuquin Academy for more than 4 years. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I can speak Filipino and English languages in excellent levels. Apart from these two languages, I can also speak the Ilocano which is our Regional dialect in my Country. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I wanted to work in The Bahamas because of its rich cultural and racial complexity. The Bahamas is also known for its beautiful Tourist destinations and its friendly atmosphere which is very conducive in the Learning-Teaching process. What countries have you worked in? Apart from my home country, I worked in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai Emirate) for 5 years (Since 2004) as a Document Controller/Secretary in two different companies. I am also engaged into Part-time Tuition Teaching which helped me maintain the equilibrium between my Secretarial/Document Controller work and my Teaching Profession. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I'm still holding the visa which was given by my company (MAG Contracting Company). What field do you currently work in? I am currently working as a Document Controller/ Secretary. What fields have you worked in before? Before I came to Dubai, I taught at the Pasuquin Academy as a Science and Technology teacher. What qualifications do you hold? I am a graduate in Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Biology, I have also acquired necessary units for Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Mariano Marcos State University, Batac City, Philippines. I have teaching experience and a Teaching license. Apart from the above mentioned qualifications, I have also talents and skills which I believe a teacher must possess. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider Formal Education more valuable than skills because it is guided with theories and well supported with actual performance, enhanced approaches and improved theoretically-based strategy; while skills were just a natural talent practiced through personal motivation and strategy. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is simply broadening my horizons. There are some things that can be easily done with the help of others. Most goals are better achieved when synchronized efforts were exerted by all the members of the group. Lastly, the sayings: "two heads are better than one" is very true most especially in the brainstorming strategy to come up with a great plans and decision. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I consider teaching as my dream job because I am always standing on the thought that Teachers are builders of people's dreams..
