I am seeking an opportunity to be employed with-in the lines of teaching art as I am currently an art teacher with the intentions of helping students identify their true potential with-in the disciplines of art. I am looking to work in Bahamas , reason being...I have always wanted to assist other students in the Caribbean with the knowledge which I have acquired over the years and I choose Bahamas because I am fascinated with the similarities and differences in the culture and the people are just naturally enchanting. The Arts:I am currently an art teacher at a prominent private school where I also teach art /art therapy to students with special needs and disabilities and on the side I also do paintings which are entered in an annual craft fair. Formal education or skills and why? Wow!, this question is like a catch 22 question .... reason being that both are equally important and they function and complement each other very well ..... let me explain...to lack skill is to lack power,however , without formal education one lacks the potential to properly articulate and market his/her self to the general public which will inevitably cut ones earning power. Describe the benefits of working with others The benefits of working with others are very fulfilling especially when you have imparted something which was lacking to the other person/persons with the intention of opening the minds of others to observe more than the traditional way of seeing things . Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone gives me the time to focus on my weaknesses and to further develop my strengths and time alone helps to develop my personal style . What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience was working as art director on Mavado and Drake's music video the hours were extremely long and I was under paid and the food was terrible . What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson learned through out my career is always to remember that each work done has to be better the next time around because everybody is a potential customer and it is very important to me that I represent the Caribbean through the medium of the arts. What unique skills do you have? Patience and tolerance with any slow learning student and when it comes on to my personal work , my main intention is to display the skill I have for the application of fine detail in any piece of art work done by me. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Well....... my dream job .. I guess it would have to be getting contracts from the hotels around the Caribbean to produce works of art and have them displayed all over the Caribbean and eventually the world. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? 1. Meeting new people 2. Imparting knowledge new to my students 3. Watching how my works move peoples'emotion 4. New methods of working What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Doing a piece of work which becomes monotonous. Would working in another country be a dis-advantage to you ?
