I have a German passport and so I am allowed to work all over Europe without visa. Of course it would be no problem to get a visa for the country I am going to work in, if it is neccessary.

It is important to have a formal education, but it is more important to be skilled in gastronomy.

Working with others makes the work easier because everyone tries to help each other and that means: working in a team.

To work alone gives you the possibility to optimize the working process, because you have the overview about everything and this can sometimes avoid sources of error.
What was your worst working experience?
I realised that I must organise a party in our bar to provide an attraction for our customers and I asked my superior about his opinion. He told me that I should do what I think. The party was very successful but he (superior) only passed criticism on me. I was very disappointed.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
I think I have learned many important lessons in my career but I realised that the most important thing in the gastronomy is to satisfy the customers because guest is king.
What unique skills do you have?
Beside the abilities that every bar tender should have, I think that my unique skill is my memory which helps the bar tender to be special.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
My dream job is to be a food and beverage-manager (F&B).
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
The most interesting aspect of my field (gastronomy), is to have contact with different people from different countries who I can improve my talents and languages from.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
The least interesting aspects in my field (gastronomy) are: - tips - private contact with guests
What makes you a special bar tender?
My personality! I am trustworthy, friendly, reliable, hard working, clean and organized. My memory is well-trained, that allows me to take many orders at once and to memorize the ingredients of the cocktails, so that normally I can mix without needing the recipes.
