What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a job as: *Bar Tender *Barman *Cocktail-Mixer *Bar Supervisor

What nationality are you?

I am Tunesian/German

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Arabic: mother-language French: mother-language English: very good German: very good

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Thanks to my languages and talents reached from many cultures I would like to work in: - Bahrain - Quatar - Dubai - Oman

What countries have you worked in?

I have worked in: - Tunesia - Germany

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

I have a German passport and so I am allowed to work all over Europe without visa. Of course it would be no problem to get a visa for the country I am going to work in, if it is neccessary.

What field do you currently work in?

I worked and I am still working in the gastronomy.

What fields have you worked in before?

I always worked in the gastronomy.

What qualifications do you hold?

- Smart server - Catering / Restaurant / Bar / Beer Vendor / Beer Hawking / Suite Service - Drivers License - Extensive hands on experiences in Food/Beverage - Skilled in maintaining inventory of bar - Experienced in mixing drinks and serving alcohol - Excellent organizational skills and work well under pressure - Punctual, team player, dedicated and supportive of co-workers - Efficient at maintaining an orderly and clean work space - Proficient in handling cash, debit and credit transactions

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

It is important to have a formal education, but it is more important to be skilled in gastronomy.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others makes the work easier because everyone tries to help each other and that means: working in a team.

Describe the benefits of working alone

To work alone gives you the possibility to optimize the working process, because you have the overview about everything and this can sometimes avoid sources of error.

What was your worst working experience?

I realised that I must organise a party in our bar to provide an attraction for our customers and I asked my superior about his opinion. He told me that I should do what I think. The party was very successful but he (superior) only passed criticism on me. I was very disappointed.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I think I have learned many important lessons in my career but I realised that the most important thing in the gastronomy is to satisfy the customers because guest is king.

What unique skills do you have?

Beside the abilities that every bar tender should have, I think that my unique skill is my memory which helps the bar tender to be special.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job is to be a food and beverage-manager (F&B).

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The most interesting aspect of my field (gastronomy), is to have contact with different people from different countries who I can improve my talents and languages from.

Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The least interesting aspects in my field (gastronomy) are: - tips - private contact with guests

What makes you a special bar tender?

My personality! I am trustworthy, friendly, reliable, hard working, clean and organized. My memory is well-trained, that allows me to take many orders at once and to memorize the ingredients of the cocktails, so that normally I can mix without needing the recipes.
