Secretarial Diploma Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills - many people have not had the opportunity to further their studies BUT have the skills and experience to get the job done. Skills is "HANDS ON" and getting on with the job whilst formal education is basically studying and reading about it without physically having to work. You can have the education but without the skill you are of no value to any company but skill without formal education can still bring value to a company. What was your worst working experience? Working 24hrs standby at Barloworld Equipment Energy in SA - I was a supervisor in my department and there was no one else to assist me at the time due to shortage of staff. I was a single mother at the time and my children were very small and I had to keep carting them up and down at night to assist customer's with generator requirements. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? That no job is too big or too small to reach your goals What unique skills do you have? nothing unique but I have the ability to work extremely well with people even the most difficult people / situations - What would you consider as your 'dream job'? That would be raising funds for under priviledged people and taking care of orphans. To me this would be more rewarding than any pay cheque What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Reports and action plans - Experiencing the highs of the company when targets are met and also putting together action plans for areas of concern.
