I am the work related learning co-ordinator at a school in the UK. I arrange work experience for over 300 year 10 students, extended work experience for disaffected students, mock interview evenings for 6th form with local professionals and also a careers fair for over 800 students with more than 30 local companies attending. I also give career advice, advising students on their best options once they leave school. This is a new area for Bahrain - as the ex pat community stays longer then the needs of the students will change. As the government looks to change the perception of apprenticeships and work based learning then the need will rise for staff to administer and explain this new style of learning.
