Looking for NGO Jobs in Denmark

What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for NGO or development field related managerial job

What nationality are you?

Bangladeshi

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Bangla (Mother Tongue) English (Fluent)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking to work in Denmark. I worked in a number of Danida supported development project in Bangladesh and in course of working with Danida International Advisers I got a impressive picture about Denmark which I also found true while I visited Denmark twice for attending a training. Denmark is a very nice country to work in and the peoples of Denmark are really very friendly and helpful.

What countries have you worked in?

I worked for a long time in my country Bangladesh. I had the opportunity to work also in Uganda on UNV assignment.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

No. I don't have any visa to work in other countries.

What field do you currently work in?

I am now working in a bilateral Water and Sanitation project in Bangladesh being supported by Government of Denmark and Government of Bangladesh.

What fields have you worked in before?

Apart from Water and sanitation, I worked also in the following fields - Formal and Non-formal primary and adult education - Small and Micro Industries/Enterprise Development

What qualifications do you hold?

I am Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering and Master of Business Administration.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

To me, both are equally important. Formal education increases the horizon of knowledge and provides base for developing professional skill which is required for applying the knowledge in practice and doing a work more efficiently and effectively.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others provides ample opportunity to learn and doing a work more effectively. It creats team spirit and simplifies the work. Working in a team provides interactive lerning, puts many mirrors in front of an individuals and reduces the risk of making mistakes.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone may give better result in terms of work achievement, paerticularly in asituation where the individual is fully equipped with technical knowledge and skill and doesn't need to consult with others. The better solution may often come out from working alone in case of inqusitive or innovative nature of work.

What was your worst working experience?

I had a worst working experience when I was in a one man project in an UNV assignment in Uganda. The government was supposed to provide manpower and other logistic support, but it was not available. I was exposed to such a working envornment, community and culture which were not supportive to achieve project goal and objectives. The expectation of project authority was high and I was in a hard situation to overcome difficulties and to go ahead with the project implementation works.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

The most important lesson i learnt throughout my career is that situational apprehension and relation building can really break ice towards making a good start and achievement as well in a challenging task.

What unique skills do you have?

I have the unique skill to analyze a situation, identify problems, set objective and make action plan accordingly to achive the onjectives. I have the skill to work in a team and accommoadate views of the team members.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

I would consider serving people through applying my management skill as my dream job. The job should have tangible outputs and impact at the beneficiaries level.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Working with people and learning from them

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Doing only paper work having less or no relations with the output or result.
