Hello,

My wife is a junior high school mathematics teacher and I am a musician/entertainer - www.swellguys.ca - here in NovaScotia, Canada.

We have recently been talking about living and working in Barbados and I am writing you to ask if this is possible as Canadian citizens, and, if so, what would be the best way to facilitate this. Are there school boards that hire teachers from abroad? If my wife found a job as a teacher, would I be able to enter your country with her and look for work as a self-employed entertainer at that time...or would I also have to find an employment before entering the country? Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Alex and Brenda Vaughan

Hello, I am an experienced Science Teacher. I am married to a Bajan and have taught in the U.K. for 12 years. I am considering the possibilty of teaching in Barbados, even if it is only for one year. We have some Bajan property and real-estate to sort out which can only be done in Barbados. Does any-one know if Bajan Schools are interested in recruiting temporary British Teaching Staff?
