actively seeking a job in Belgium

What type of job are you looking for?

I am very fortunate and have had the chances of an extensive working career. I spent almost 12 years in the Travel Industry both UK and mainly abroad.. I have trained not only new candidates to the travel industry but also compiled and headed seminars and training course for prospective employees and experienced staff in Customer Services, Sales and Targets. I have spent the last 7 years in a fast, highly driven, Telesales office. from existing customers to cold calling. Making a small company turn over a fantastic turnover in only 5 years.

What nationality are you?

I am British.. Recently moved to Heusden Zolder Belgium

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English Fluent . Turkish conversation Just enrolled into college here in Heusden (crash course) in Dutch

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Belgium ... any area as i have transport and can travel

What countries have you worked in?

Turkey, Tunisa, Bulgaria, Greece uk

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Europe,

What field do you currently work in?

Social Services..working with Elderly

What fields have you worked in before?

Travel Telesales Nightclub Advertising Customer Services

What qualifications do you hold?

o Levels College degree NVQ Train to Train

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills in my opinion nothing can compare with hands on knowledge and diversity of in house training. Education can give you a base but its life, hard work, and self motivation that gets the results and you cant be taught them , you either have it or not.

Describe the benefits of working with others

In a team you have the backing of others, the option to call upon someone when needing advice and the drive of not wishing to let a collegue down.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Its self motivation, setting your own targets and achieving your own goals. You get to take the credit for all your hard work and its a personal gain that drives it forward.

What was your worst working experience?

Working in a supermarket, I have never been out of work and I would work at anything in younger days other than be unemployed and working on a checkout was just so mind boring, unmotivating and a means to something better

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

To strive to meet my own goals. Life is set on targets and reaching them is the highest feeling. I learnt to listen, to learn and to improve all my abilities (never to old to learn). I have learnt that I am very target driven and work well under stress and to take responsiblity for my own actions.

What unique skills do you have?

Communication skills I am able to communicate from the bottom to the top in any business. I can hold meetings for a small group to a group of 100 plus and hold everyones attention. I can sell if I am blowing my own trumpet I am a very good sales person, one on one, group or telephone. Customer service I have learnt in the past how to remain calm, let the other person speak and evaluate then comment. And uniquely I am very hard working and strive for personal goals.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Difficult question as I have many dreams, but dreams are just that dreams and in reality I would love a job where I can excell at what im doing, where I can reach targets set and where I go home at the end of the day looking forward to the next.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

I love the thrill of the sale or the appointment on the telephone confirming. The chance to sell myself and company to a prospective cumstomer and close the deal. To be able to train youngster to strive for their goals.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Letting the one slip away. Not enough hours in a day and missing that target by a margin.

What if any downfalls do you have?

At present only downfall I can see is not speaking Dutch due to only recently moving to the area, however I have enrolled onto a crash course to learn so this question will be very difficult to answer.

How can potential employers contact you?
