Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
I consider skills to be more valuable because they are a true reflection of what a person is capable of doing. Formal education usually benefits persons who have a huge memory capacity to retain the theories and ideas presented in formal education. However, the notes on the papers don't offer an insight to what the person is capable of except proof that he/she can retain sufficient information, perform well on exams and obtain good marks. But theory and practice are two different things and I believe practice is what makes perfect.
