Much experience supporting robust middleware infrastructures in production (and dev and test and qa) environments. I have been employed as a senior engineer for years. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills with experience you can immediately employ. Education without experience is mostly talk. Education ombined with experience can be a good resource. Describe the benefits of working with others I can be a solo resource, but it is good to put a face on those you work with. To be able to readily toss ideas about in a forum is sometimes conducive to problem solving. I work with others daily, remotely, and, with modern communications it is not even necessary to be in the same location to be effective. Describe the benefits of working alone With no distractions your focus on an issue might be maintained. Not all folks can do this, and may need to be in a more social environment. I have worked in both extremes with success. What was your worst working experience? Where some team mates decided to not like me for some unarticulated reason -- no matter what I did to try to mitigate it was seen as weakness. My best option was to look for another position because I perceived no way to win. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Communication is very important. Not useless communications, but to always endeavor to not let the manager "flap in the breeze". What unique skills do you have? WebSphere administration in a WAS 5.1 (out of support), 6.1, 7.0 environment. Planning and executing migrations. Working in a Vmware ESX supported infrastructure.
