I am planning to settle in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. I am originally from San Igancio, Cayo and have been residing in the U.S. for the past 8 years. High School Graduate with on-the job training and courses in the above fields and areas of study. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider skills and hands-on experience to be more valuable in the workforce. My own personal experience of having effectively held jobs requiring higher educational levels than what I hold has proven to be that it is one's hard work, persistence, good work ethics and passion for the job which brings about successful job accomplishment and job satisfaction. Describe the benefits of working with others It is important to be able to work as a team and to get the job done as a cohesive unit. Working with others provides an environment of shared talent and responsibility. It is also a socialbe way to work and a way of sharing the workload. Describe the benefits of working alone It is important to be able to work independently and with little or no supervision. The individual is free to be personally creative, work at his/her own pace using preferred methods and make the decisions involved in completing the job. What was your worst working experience? My worst working exerience was working in a coffee shop where the speed of taking orders and making to drinks took precedence to being polite and welcoming to the customers in line. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson I have learnt throughout my career is that it is important to generate interest and enthusiasm in whatever project or job which needs to get done. This love and passion for what you are doing will produce good results, will get others interested in what you are doing, and will multiply into important exposure and networking. What unique skills do you have? I have the unique ability to be convincing about my ideas and concepts; effective about getting things done in an organised and diplomatic fashion; can relate to people at all levels. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To me, a 'dream job' would consist of working with a strong, energetic group of people who like their job and get great satisfaction in getting things done well from start to finish. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspects of my field of work is the people contact and the opportunity to put ideas and concepts to work. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The high turnover of personnell in this field is the aspect which I have not liked. Is it important to be knowledgeable about the company I am working for? Regardless of what position an individual holds with a company, it is important and beneficial for him/her to understand the workings of the company because everything carried out by each employee affects that company either positively or negatively.
