What field do you currently work in? Design, Manufactoring of Materials, and Installation of Warehouse Storage Systems. What fields have you worked in before? Ship Building, Construction, Fixture Installation What qualifications do you hold? 43 years in work place. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Education is to be used in conjunction with skills and experience. Well educated people with no common sense or skills, who cannot communicate their visions to others, may as well have learned nothing. Describe the benefits of working with others Team effort gains more results than individual effort. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone usually produces less results, but also allows for better control of the results. What was your worst working experience? No really bad experience, some more trying, but all fulfilling. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Never stop learning, listen before you speak, and patience is truly a virtue. What unique skills do you have? I handle logistics very well.I manage large projects very well. problems do not rattle me, mistakes only count if you don't correct them. Once corrected, they become small matters. the key is to not let them rattle you, but to just identify the problem and correct it. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? At this stage of my life, I would like to be living in Belize, utilizing my skills learned in construction to care for a small resort or private residence, allowing time to enjoy the outdoors. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Taking an empty space, such as a warehouse, and turning it into a working facility, complete with storage systems, logistics, inventory control. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Simply installing racking for retail warehousing. Why Belize.
