CHEF /COOK JOBSWhat type of job are you looking for? i am looking for the position of a cook,but have worked all my life in the service industry, as flight attndant,customer service agent for the airline,clothing store owner both adult and childrens bought on 5th,6th ,7thave new york.also did quality controll for hotel answered directly to the owner.perasonal chefed at tryall clumb,and other private properties...worked for the baroness as private chef wheneverthey were in town[port antonio,jamacia] What nationality are you? jamcian,but internationally trained What languages do you speak (and at what level)? english very basic french and very little What country or area are you looking to work in and why? i would like to work i belize ,reason being that i am thinking of living there and would need a job What countries have you worked in? the U.S.A where i trained worked at the radison barcello for training.in washington d.c. was on the opening team of the ritz carlton jamacia... private chefed at varios porperties.... no have own catering company that does private personal dinner parties inhouse for embaseys in jamacia....exp brazilain .chillian..venezalian What countries do you have a visa to work in? ihave us visa have had visa for other countrys for travel have held a us work permit when in school also canadian and us student visas for studies...did art in canada-lived ther for 4 yrs What field do you currently work in? culinary-my own business called baBettes feast ..i have featured in the food secton of the jamacia observer many times as a chef... What fields have you worked in before? ailine industry-air .customer service.baggage business-buyer for clothing store ,childrens store[owned the business] private and personal chef been all over the island doing this in private villas.....training of staff in the food industry managed staff and took care of properties.... What qualifications do you hold? 1. personal experience through on the job training 2.am a trained artist-canada diploma 3.BA in history FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES. 4.culinary diploma-from la academie de cuisine D.C. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I THINK BOTH CAN BE EQUALY IMPORTANT.... why-----because it all depends on what you make of each Describe the benefits of working with others wwe can always learn from others and we can all use help at times everything is team work with direction at all times ...everyone has there skill or speciality.... Describe the benefits of working alone i can be nice to work alone as well becauseyou may be more creative quicker,but this can be acheived with others with direction as well. What was your worst working experience? i cant say that i have really had a worst working experience... school was a uncomfortable experience because of the level of viciousness in being competative ...i thank god, have not really experienced that at work ...i guess i have been lucky...i also have beeen in supervisory positions What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? hoe to handle staff and the fact that you have to be aware of all issues in there lives as it affects the performance on the job you have to be so aware of other issues than yourself...how are we going to get this done..thats the hardest thing ...i have to slow down and be more aware....but i have learnt i have come along way....
