Formal education or skills and why? As a child and young adult, formal education was essential for skills to be learned and perfected. I excelled in the scholastic work in order to be given the chance to develop my healing skills. As far as physical performance (like surgery), skills take precedence over formal teaching. Confidence is gained as skills are mastered. Currently, I value my mental and physical skills while I continue to read as much as I can about the world in which we live. I read primarily about science, psychology, nutritional healing and holistic health practices including herbal remedies, animal health and welfare, and environmental issues including renewable energy. Describe the benefits of working with others The collaborative approach describes my modus operandi in everyday living and working. My easy going repartee encourages many people to seek my advice and my helpful insights have healed many who sought my assistance. It is by helping others and giving them the tools to succeed on their own that motivates me towards a teaching/mentoring career direction. Describe the benefits of working alone Yes, I like to read and write alone. We all need our time alone to regenerate and ponder the days ahead. What was your worst working experience? Any job that became routine, also resulted in boredom. I worked as a sales clerk in the jewelery department of a major department store when I was 18 years old. The store was located in a brand new mall, so very few customers passed my way. I was ecstatic when September came so I could start my university studies and swimming career as a result of an athletic scholarship. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I learned that I needed to be more 'hands on' when it came to running the business side of my private practice of 15 years. However, that left no time for me and my motherhood. As a result of that 'awakening', I learned the most painful lesson of my life and it was that I am not SuperWoman, but now I'm trying to be a super Mom for my children until they are ready to 'leave the nest'. What unique skills do you have? I'm a medical investigator and educator for my patients or for anyone who seeks my assistance. Communication is the essence of all knowledge, and the ability to convey useful information in a meaningful, no-nonsense, and often entertaining way, is one of my gifts. I strive to soothe others, helping them while healing myself in the process. I am an advocate for women and animal rights. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Teaching and mentoring young healthcare professionals in the fields of science, health, medicine ( both western and alternative), and the art of compassionate healing. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Problem solving, creating innovative and alternative methods for teaching complex medical and scientific concepts so that my students can have a practical understanding of the technical and humanistic aspects of their chosen field. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Paperwork, paying bills, and dealing with people who don't see the 'big picture' and hinder those who are trying to make the future better for our children. Do you believe that the media is interested in the truth or more likely to 'shoot' first and ask questions later? The latter, I've seen so many false depictions and outright lies presented by alleged journalists in the United States, that I have decided they can no longer be trusted as watchdogs. We need to guard the innocent from their tyranny. How can potential employers contact you? You may contact me via email or phone. kimberlycull_md@yahoo.com 614-505-6986 Home 614-477-8479 Mobile |
