What type of job are you looking for?

I am searching for a job within the hotel/tourism industry

What nationality are you?

I am a Jamaican

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English is my native language but I also speak French and Spanish, having taught both languages at the secondary level for over eight years.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Bermuda or Canada. Bermuda because the economy is good and Canada because of the French connection.

What countries have you worked in?

Grand Cayman

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Grand Cayman

What field do you currently work in?

Teaching

What fields have you worked in before?

Immigration and Teaching.

What qualifications do you hold?

Bachelor of Arts Degree and Teacher's Diploma

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Formal Education as it makes you more marketable for employment.

Describe the benefits of working with others

It enhances co-operation and creates a bond in the working environment. It also allows for more communication and interdependence.

Describe the benefits of working alone

You are forced to use your initiative and eventually this may lead to you garnering leadership skills.

What was your worst working experience?

Working in an environment where the abuse level (both verbal and physical)were extremely high and disrespect as well as disregard were very prevalent. A lot of unprofessionalism was also displayed.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

To be as professional and efficient as possible. Learning and knowing the work thoroughly as well.

What unique skills do you have?

I am able to speak more than one language fluently.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Working with an International body such as the United Nations.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Foreign Languages.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Monotony
