MMS Technician Job Description and Requirements
Job Description
The qualified applicant will be supporting client employees that have been migrated to the Microsoft Managed Solution. All software under add/remove programs will be supported. All hardware under warranty will be support via either direct support by replacement of parts or by escorting a Dell dispatch technician onto the site to perform the repair. Calls will be routed via the Toronto Call center using the customer’s ticket routing system (MCC). Technicians will be responsible to monitor update and close service request via this established process. Other responsibilities include contacting the customer with in 1 hrs of service request and setting up an appointment to meet with the customer to perform services with in customer SLA’s.
Resource qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
· Proven experience with computer systems, related peripherals and common software programs.
· Basic knowledge of office productivity software.
Entry Level Skills:
· Ability to read, write and speak basic business English and native language
· Demonstrated proficiency in basic problem solving.
· Strong interpersonal, time management and Microsoft service skills.
· Working knowledge of DOS and recent Microsoft operating systems.
· Familiarization with internal microcomputer components.
· Basic repair skills of Desktop and Laptop computers.
· Apple experience is helpful, but not required.
· Strong repair skills of Microsoft supported products.
· Basic repair skills for laser printers.
· Basic understanding of analog (e.g., fax and modem equipment) and networking concepts.
Ongoing Performance Criteria: client review personnel performance on an on-going basis and by formal annual appraisal between line management, HR and the employee. Such appraisals cover, but are not limited to:
