What type of job are you looking for?

I'm storage IT specialist with almost 10 years experience (in fibre channel, storage area networks, netapp, EMC, HP, StorageTek, Brocade devices and so on...a lot of this) You can find my resume at http://kitowski.net

Me and my fiancée (she is a property manager) are looking for a job opportunities at Bermuda.

I'm looking for job as a storage administrator.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Polish native English good

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I'm thinking about some place with more sunny days. I prefer Bermuda because this place looks awesome, and its small so probably quiet.

What countries have you worked in?

Poland, Germany

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

As an EU citizen I don't need visa for work in many countries.

What field do you currently work in?

I'm storage (enterprise storage systems) engineer. I'm working for biggest companies on the world as a outsourcing administrator.

What fields have you worked in before?

10 last years... storage and all related things...

What qualifications do you hold?

* experience * Knowledge about work at international corporation * Experience with ITIL standards * Network Appliance devices (all NAS filers) – FAS2x0/FAS3x00, with all protocols (NFS, CIFS, FCP, iSCSI), and lots of adds (SNAPSHOT, SNAPMIRROR, SNAPDRIVE, SNAPMANAGER) * StoregeTek/Sun/SpectraLogic tape libraries * Storage Area Networks – Brocade (all fibre channel products) and McDATA switches, Emulex and Qlogic HBA * Very good knowledge about administer and implement SAN’s (FC and iSCSI) * Backup Software CA ARCSERVE, VERITAS/Symantec backup Exec, NetBackup * General knowledge about almost all storage systems (HP(msa series)/EMC(Clariion series)/SUN/STK/IBM) * Microsoft’s OS: Server Systems 2000/2003/Storage Server * Microsoft basic services (AD/DNS/terminal/..etc) * Microsoft Server Applications (exchange, sql) – knowledge for storage implementations * Linux/Unix – knowledge enough for storage implementations * Skills in designing storage solutions * Good knowledge about VMware server and VMware workstation technology

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I thing both... but is hard to get both in one time. Formal education is needed by employer in form of diploma. Skills are required to do your work good.

Describe the benefits of working with others

I'm trying to exchange as many usable information as I can... Exchange means two ways knowledge transfer :)

There is no one who can disturb you and you can focus on your tasks.

What was your worst working experience?

many years ago as a almost child I was on vacation work... Employer didn't pay for my work.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Don't work to much! When you are tired (for example after hours) you can easy make mistake. Your mistake could cost someone a lot of money and stress (and yours too).

What unique skills do you have?

Every person is unique, my unique skills are: - I can pretty good describe someone's personality after first minute of conversation - I'm thinking analytical, it helps me to resolve technical problems at work

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Dream job? It's easy, doing what I know how to do good, and have spare time to develop myself and for a familly.

What job would you never do?

nothing witch would require lies. I hate lies. I know that some selling jobs are pretty close to this.

What do you do in your free time?

I love to have some free time. I usually looking for some physical activities... but I have a problem with lack of a free time.
