Paramedic Employment

What type of job are you looking for?

A Paramedic role either in Bermuda, caribbean or United States

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English (1st Language)

What State are you looking to work in and why?

Any state, have recently divorced, need to move on and venture out, a change will do me the world of good

What field do you currently work in?

Am an experienced Paramedic of 22 years stationed in london UK

What fields have you worked in before?

Have spent most of my career on an ambulance but the past 7 years on the response car (Rapid response Unit)

What qualifications do you hold?

ATLS, PALS, ALS,Training Supervisor, Airside/Airport trained, 12 Lead ECG, cannualtion, intubation, advanced cardiac care

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Patient care is the most valuable especially the communication side, if you can keep your patient calm, half of your job has been completed, and also important to be honest with your patient.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working as a team, assists yours and their knowledge, and again communication. Also if you have a bad job you can communicate with your partner

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone, you have to make decisions very quickly and correctly. i have been working as a solo responder for 7 years

What was your worst working experience?

My worst working experience was dealing with a major incident in Central london, I have attended several Major incidents over the past 22 years

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

You never stop learning

What unique skills do you have?

I am very outgoing, have also been told I am the joker of my station, I am also a good listener and play cricket (If that helps)

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

To be a Paramedic in Bermuda or Florida

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

No job is the same, you meet different classes of people and different culture, and you are always on your toes.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The politics side of things. the patient always comes first.
