Live Housekeeping/Cook Position Required

What type of job are you looking for?

Require a live in housekeeping/cook position in a private family home or small guesthouse/hotel. Happy to provide occassional child care if necessary.

What nationality are you?

English

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Bermuda so I can be nearer family who have lived over there for 20 years.

What field do you currently work in?

Housekeeping/Cook

What fields have you worked in before?

Retail, office, housekeeping, chef,

What qualifications do you hold?

general secondary educational and city and guilds qualified chef.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills that you have picked up through life. Education is a great foundation but exprience provides the padding!

Describe the benefits of working with others

Widens your social skills and provides that extra pair of hands when needed.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Can organise your day to suit your tasks and can achieve a lot more.

What was your worst working experience?

Having my own Post Office - the buearocracy was a nightmare.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

To be honest with yourself about what you need from an employer and what you can give them.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Working in a warm family environment, looking after their needs and being able to cook for them.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Meeting new people and becoming an important part of a family team.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Cleaning toilets!!
