I have worked within the Spa and Leisure industry for over 6 years What qualifications do you hold? NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy FDA Spa Management Degree NVQ 2 in Team leadership Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I feel both are important because education is there to give us the basic knowledge and the skills we acquire are through experience. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is one of the benefits of this job, it enables us to interact and work as a team to thrive for the very best. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone has benefits also, it allows us to gain the tailored skills in order to progress within our careers. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience would be when I had to diffuse a very sensitive and potentially dangerous situations involving a guest and a therapist. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? If you have zest and enthusiasm you attract zest and enthusiasm What unique skills do you have? I am qualified in 7 different massage therapies and What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working somewhere with a relaxing outlook on life with beautiful surroundings What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Personally I find massage and anatomy the most interesting aspect. I also find the people management side interesting especially personality types and body language which I studied at University. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I don't feel as though there are any, I am incredibly passionate about what I do What is the most important value to you with regards to your team? Honesty, because with honesty comes trust.
