Environmental scienceWhat type of job are you looking for? m looking for job that is related to environment protection, preservation, waste management, disaster management, in short any job that is related to clean and green environment. What nationality are you? i am bhutanese. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? i can speak dzongkha, english, sharchop, hindi, nagamese and nepali. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? m looking to work in Bhutan because with the recent developments taking place there are environment problems coming up, not on large scale but it is coming.. And one we need to contribute and strive for preservation, education and protection of our rich flora and fauna, water resources, etc. What countries have you worked in? well m i have recently completed my M.Sc in environmental science. What field do you currently work in? i am waiting for the opportunity to work. What fields have you worked in before? i did one month temporary job in housing and population census but after that i had to leave for my studies. What qualifications do you hold? i have completed my B.sc botany, M.sc Environment science and have basic knowledge of computer. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? i consider both of them to be important because formal education teaches us what to do and skills are all about how its done. if u have education to do something you need opportunity to carry it out and do it which turns into skill. If one of them is missing the other becomes useless cause only skill will not help one cope up with recent development in technologies. These two are intertwined and important. Describe the benefits of working with others First of all it will helps one to carry out what one has learned.It helps in developing skill and gives us experience. There will be exchange of ideas, knowledge, skills and one can communicate ones idea easily. there will be no biasness and decision making will be easy. If all the people work with same goal and idea the aims and objectives will be fulfilled easily which will contribute to the development of nation and benefit people. Describe the benefits of working alone working alone helps one show out what a person has learned and what type of experience one has. It helps show case an individuals idea and since decision making is sole the person tends to become extra careful. What was your worst working experience? have not experienced it yet. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? well since i have not worked but one thing that i have learnt from life is learning is a continuous and never ending process and these learning when channelized to help others brings immense happiness. What unique skills do you have? M good in teaching and organizing events. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? my dream job is to work in organization that supports and values the environment and create awareness based on the values. Support economic growth with environmental growth and that help in adapting practices that checks waste emission to the environment. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspect of my field is that it deals with things that is related to our every day life and how these small things affect our environment. This field not only helps in creating awareness and preservation of environment but also helps maintain sustainable economic growth. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? the least interesting aspect of this field is that still now people take environment for granted. Though polices and plans are laid in some places it is just on the paper. Its hard to convince people about how difficult the future is going to be in the long run. |
