Well payed means at least 1200 Euro/month, suitable means; I do not have diploma's but I do have skills for a lot of jobs. I am good with my hands (carpeting/metal/electricity/management/investigations/driving/politics and even simple medical). The best would be a job like a housemaster What nationality are you? I am Dutch, 43 years old. Male. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? From good till less; Dutch (of course) English; both good written and spoken, German; rather good Spanish; rather good Bosnian; can communicate; still learning French; a bit What countries have you worked in? I worked 4 times half a year in Bosnia before (RS and Federation) with different tasks; - monitoring local police (as an diplomat) - military police (for the Dutch) - investigator (twice) What field do you currently work in? I am a teacher on our military training center. What fields have you worked in before? Public Service. I worked as an immigration officer for over 20 years. In this period I went to BiH for missions and spend some time on other locations in Holland. What qualifications do you hold? I finished secondary school and went for working. Do you consider skills & experience more or less valuable than formal education, and why? Depends. Some people have had formal education but miss the personal contact with the job. Others do not have diploma for a job but have a thinking lever where the can do the job excellent even without. I count myself in the group. Are you a people person or do you work more efficiently alone? I like to work with people a lot. But if I have to do a job alone I will not be embarrassed. Everything has both positive and negative site effects. What was your worst working experience? None; al jobs can be boring or bad. It is an art to make it nice and enjoyable for yourself and your colleagues. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? People do things for a reason. Listen to them and try to understand them and use their qualifications/skills instead of forcing them to do things they don't want to do. Everybody is useful. What unique skills do you have? Very positive look on life and people. I can cope very good with people. I can be very patient but know what I want (to be done). I can be strict, if needed. I can listen to people very good. I can work with anybody (no matter what religion/color/education) I want to help people if I can. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? A manager position (for an NGO). Were I have to point out the workers what to do, make schedules, do administration, and check on the work what is done. As well contact the higher lever. A responsible job. What job would you never do? Jobs were I have to step over my Principe's; like accepting apartheid (real Dutch word !!) ore things related with drugs. Why would I want to work in Bosnia? I have been 4 times half a year there for work, as a diplomat. As well the many times I went there to spend time with my wife who lives there. She still is!!!
