I am a qualified Diesel engineer/mechanic, I did my training with Caterpillar. (Thos Barlow & Sons, South Africa) I specialized in industrial transmission, hydraulic and injector pumps whilst doing my apprenticeship & training. As a Journeyman I was sent out as a field serviceman doing repairs, maintenance, analytical inspection and power generating plants. I have work some years as project manager in the marine industry covering all aspects linked to the industry, but would prefer to do this type of work on land based projects.
I would seriously like to get back into the heavy plant again. Over the years I have gained a huge amount of experience in difference mechanical sectors. I am good at organizing different trades to work together, not against each other, so as to complete tasks on time and within budget. I have always done well with the challenges put in front of me.
I am looking, preferably for a position to work in Africa in the heavy plant or exploration sector.
