English. I understand a bit of sutu because I did Silozi in school. Sutu and silozi are almost similar or a few differences in pronunciations

Any where in your country. In Zambia I'm employed as a water and energy engineer and my work takes me anywhere rural and urban

only Zambia and a bit of Tanzania as a student there

Civil engineering construction

Bachelor of Engineering degree (Civil engineering)
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Skills because one tends to have more practical touch to the job

Working as a team makes one develop leadership skills easily and the work generally tends to move because efforts are group efforts

its makes one more responsible and there is a tendency to take ownership of the work and the results thereafter
What was your worst working experience?
My worst working experience was when I drilled 19 dry boreholes out of 30. The failure was as a result of the poor ground water formation in that part of Southern province Zambia. It was so nasty I nearly resigned on moral grounds
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
Even if you are working in a group, always remember to apply yourself fully to the work. Do not take that the person next to me will do it. Do it yourself instead.
What unique skills do you have?
Im quiet artistic and I write lot of articles. I know the computer well and I appreciate the use of GIS (Geographical information systems)and AUTOCAD which not many people in Zambia have mastered
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
I would like to be a chief executive of a water or power utility company
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
My field involves working with rural communities. It becomes very interesting to combine engineering and social work. The other one is when you carryout geophysical investigations, plot your graphs, drill the boreholes and finally find water. Its also interesting when I sit on the computer and start to design an engineering system, supervise construction and finally see it work.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
When I fail to achieve my engineering results after designing (Very rare)
Who is your mentor
ALBERT EINSTIEN. This is the man who has made the world what it is today. I simply love his theory of relativity.
