What qualifications do you hold? Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Registered Operating Theatre Nurse (ROTN) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal education is more valuable than skills because it provides a diverse understanding of things. It is also based on principles which can be applied differently and still achieve what you want to do. Describe the benefits of working with others Team work is beneficial because work is done faster, there is an interchage of ideas, new ideas are often available which can be developed for the benefit of the company. Describe the benefits of working alone Decision making is faster because you do not have to consult others, you work at you own pace because you do not have any one observing you. What was your worst working experience? It was when i was working in ICU, i was doing night shift, i received a 12 year old boy with history of loss of conciuosness. After admitting the boy to the unit i implemented the doctors advice and continued observing the patient.An hour later the glasgow coma scale picked up from the initial 7 to 12/14. Despite this remarkable improvement the patient sudenly collapsed and died, i felt very bad and that was my worst working experience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learnt not to be self minded but to work as a team and alot is achived if team work is good. I have also learnt that every member of the team is important despite the type of work each one is doing. What unique skills do you have? Leadership, working with minimal suppervision, trustworthy, hardworking and a good member of team work. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Teaching at a school of Nursing What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Seing the helpless being helped and return to there normal health. Combining efforts as a team to assist an individual recover fron the ill health. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Lossing a patient in death despite the efforts put in to assist. Having the knowledge to work but without physical equipment to work with. How much are your services worth? I highly value my services, but im flexible depending on the work schdule and work in put.
