I'm a Ugandan national, holder of a BSc degree in nursing, with a Diploma in General nursing. I have attended several short courses in the field of nursing, health promotion, population and
gender development. I also do possess wide experience of seven years in clinical nursing care
with teaching experience of five years. I'm a trainer of trainers and have participated in
curriculum review and development for the nurses. Have held several managerial positions that
include but not limited to heading of department and co-ordinating academic programs. For
example, have headed a department of nursing for three years, and I'm currently co-ordinating
part-time nursing program in the faculty of nursing.
Main tasks as clinical nurse was mainly to enhance client care through assessment of needs,
planning of care priorities, implementation and evaluation of outcomes. Regarding current
position, tasks include teaching, work plan development, service organisation, and priority setting
among others.
I have been able to work in Rwanda as an expatriate with ease for five years now, despite the
mult ethnic environment and cultural difference.
The above few mentioned experiences and qualities forms the basis for my suitability for any post in nursing.
I would therefore like to offer nursing services to the Botswana community and share my skills with other health professionals.
