What type of job are you looking for?
I am a Medical Technologist and I would like to apply as one. I am practicing my profession since 1997. My last employment was in a tertiary government hospital and I was specifically assigned at the Blood Bank Department where I do the processing of the five disease markers namely: HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV, Syphilis and Malaria. Aside from that I also joined in the mass blood donation drives.

I am a Filipino.

I speak English fluently and of course our local Filipino dialect.
What country or area are you looking to work in and why?
I would like to venture on different countries. I heard Dubai and Qatar are good choices for my field. But wherever is open now I'll go for it.

What qualifications do you hold?
I am hardworking. I can work under minimal supervision. I am very much equipped with different machines in the laboratory. I am very much willing to be trained.
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
For me its BOTH. It goes hand in hand Formal education is very much useless without skills and vice versa. You cannot just read and read books or earn a degree without practicing it and put it by heart.

There are things that you cannot accomplish alone and whether we like it or not we really need other people. In that way you can develop friendship and camaraderie.

Sometimes though you also need to be alone especially when you want to analyze procedures and others. People around may destruct your focus and may be the cause of delay of your work.
What was your worst working experience?
Nothing really, I can withstand any pressures. I take work lightly and such a pleasure for me. Because I love my profession so much.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
Being patient and putting your shoes to every sick people you encounter, that I am not just a medical professional but a comforter, perhaps a friend as well.
What unique skills do you have?
I have a proficiency in HIV and other blood-borne STIs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases), with that only those with that proficiency can process those blood samples.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
Being a head of one laboratory unit, if God permits.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
Many, a physician cannot easily diagnose without laboratory results. That's how important my field is.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
I can say nothing at all. I take everyday as a challenge.
