MEDICAL OFFICERS VACANCIES

What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a Medical Officers job.

What nationality are you?

Kenyan.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English,Russian & Swahili

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking forward to work in Botswana or Zambia because their salary is high and i want to save enough money to go back for my masters, again to get more experience by learning how to treat different diseases that are probably not in my country and also for interactions with other doctors in the world who might have gone through a different phase of life to be what they are today not forgeting learning other peoples cultures and way of life,so as to be able to interract with different nations apart from my own.

What countries have you worked in?

KENYA AND RUSSIA.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

KENYA

What field do you currently work in?

GENERAL PRACTITIONEER.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have not worked in any other field before.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider both valuable because they both depend on one another, without knowledge, you cant have skills and knowledge is nothing without skills, especially in the field of medicine which keeps on being updated daily. For example, earlier scientist used to believe in blood transfusion from an animal to a human being and vice versa because they were being practically(skills)but today we understand that the transfusion from an animal to a human being is impossible due to blood incompatibility factors-blood groups, and this was only made possible by both knowledge and skills, and there are so many other incidents thus i believe that they're both valuable.

Describe the benefits of working with others

The benefits of working with others first of all means Making work much easier, this one does this the other one that,at the end of the day work is done. Working with others means becoming a better person hence people come from different backgrounds, nationalities, societies, communities thus have different behaviours, cultures and beliefs. so working with them means learning and accepting other people the way they're,which gives you more experience and a smooth way of being with different people without any worries. You get to be more knowledgable in a way that since we are different then it means we have different ways of dealing with things, thus what you are undergoing today might have happened to your workmate long time ago and thus He/She might have a better perspective of dealing with that situation than you. Woking with people means togetherness and thus Two heads are better than one, together we stand, divided we fall.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Benefits of working alone are: 1.You will become more responsible, since sometimes working with people makes you more lazy the fact that you know if you dont do a certain work someone else will, since you share the work. 2.Working alone means being independent, all the work depends on you and by dedicating maximum time on it and by repeating a particular work several times, you become very skilled in that line of work and that is even better for you. 3.Working alone, means speed and doing your best,if you know that theres a pile of work awaiting for you then you'll have no time to waste around and that improves your speed, again since your the only one accountable for that work, you know that you're to blaim incase of anything thus you become more keen and with accuracy bacause you would'nt wanna be found guilty.

What was your worst working experience?

My worst working experience was when i was alone in a pediatric department in a high season, where the department was so full of patients untill there were no more beds on the corridor and i had to admit patients in the corridors, was so overwhelmed with work that i spent day and night in the hospital for almost 11/2 months, where the mortality rate was high because i could not dedicate my full time with one patient and some parents who might have had a sick child for a longer period ended up sufforcating the child, killing him/her in the name of making things easy as a cultural beleif,it was my first and the worst time to come across such a culture, because to some point i was so demoralised.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I have learnt that each patient is important and that a patient is always right, educating the patient is the key to treatment, because most of the patients do not understand what type of diseases they might be suffering from and what they can do to help the situation,I had a patient who was diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus 1yr ago,he understod that he had too much sugar in his body and thus he ended up taking some verry bitter concorsion to neutralise the sugar in his body for a whole yr thus came back with a DKA,So its very improtant to educate the patients fully on what they have and explain to them what can or should be done about it. I have learnt to respect my colleagues and that each staff member in the hospital has a key role to play,be it a maintenance guy,a nurse,a clinical officer,a doctor, each of us is very important. I have also learnt that doing your best at something gives you a peace of mind.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream Job is being in a theatre somewhere working as a cardiothoracist.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Satisfaction for both the doctor and the patient is the most interesting aspect in my field,Curing people by God's grace, seing someone leaving the hospiatl with a face full of hopes than the dying face he/she came with. The fact that alot of people(hospital staff)came together to deliver a service (to a patient) is the best aspect.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The least interesting aspect of my field is when sometimes your hands are closed and theres nothing that you can do due to less of enough equipments or proper medication.

Please replace this with a question of your own

Do i qualify to be your employee?

How can potential employers contact you?
