Botswana - Public Service Jobs

job seeker

What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a job that will not only benefit me but also benefit the rest of the Botswana community. As Botswana is still a developing country, I find it very necessary to contribute in its developments but this time not in building infrastructures like roads and bridges. I want to help people to achieve the goal of eradicating poverty, diseases and abuse of human rights. There are already foundations laid but I need to build up and make sure that people live to enjoy democracy and that people's rights are respected. I find poverty to be the main obstacle now in people's lives and I believe that by raising my voice and making the government to listen to people's voices, together, Botswana can be a country many wish to live in and that people's hearts are painted with not only hope but also developments in their lives. I believe its time we use the education we have been sent out to gain to now bring change in the country. I need a job that I will be more involved in protecting the lives of people and making sure that what the leaders have promised is now delivered. I want a job that will help empower women and children and those who are disadvantaged and stay at rural areas. I believe in fair and just criminal justice system, and I believe that with the education I have gained when studying Criminology and Criminal Justice, my contribution will be highly valued. Its time criminals who that Botswana is a no nonsense country and that we all aim at protecting our democracy and eradicating those whose motives are to destroy our beautiful and peaceful country.

What nationality are you?

Motswana

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I write and speak English and Setswana fluently

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking to work in Botswana because I believe that its time I give back to my country since it is the one which gave me the opportunity to get higher education. I have realised that many people do not value the privilege they have been given which is 'education' because most people prefer to work in foreign countries instead of their own country. It time we put a stop at blaming the leaders and help them run the country.I am troubled by the issue of some emerging dangerous criminal who rob people even daylight and take advantage of our criminal justice system. I want to work in Botswana because I want to help those who are disadvantaged to get recognised and helped in improving their lives. Its time the youth wake up and start to do something for their country if they need to see a change.

What field do you currently work in?

I am an undergraduate student who is completing her studies in November, 3rd 2010.

What qualifications do you hold?

Degree in Bachelor of Arts with double major in International Relations and Criminology.

Both. Because formal education will help enhance professional skills and knowledge in areas of own choice.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Throughout my learning, I have realised that the world is full of too much change, some positive and negative changes and only human beings can help to keep those changes in balance.

What unique skills do you have?

I can deliver from the heart. I always believe that what is inside my heart, whether measured as a decision or speech, it is the rights thing to do.My unique skill lies in that I believe in investigating a matter and delivering the best possible solution.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Being able to improve the lives of people, especially to see diseases being eradicated and unemployed at its lowest rate. I want to chop out criminals, all sorts of criminals, whether as organised crimes or disorganised crimes, rapists, robbers etc, all of them.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

working with people and coming up with solutions to problems either environmental problems, human rights, fair justice and being on the centre of mediating or doing diplomatic talks.

Why do I belief in contributing to my country?

This is because I believe I can, if only given a chance to do it.
