Agricultural ScienceWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for a teaching job in either a school or an NGO educational project. What nationality are you? I am Nigerian What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak English and Igbo languages. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I intend to work in Botswana or any other english speaking South African country, to enable me apply my NGO experience towards sustainable development knowledge and skills exchange with my country in line with the Millennium development Goals for 2015. What countries have you worked in? I have worked in Nigerian What countries do you have a visa to work in? I have neither applied for nor secured a visa to work in any country before now. What field do you currently work in? I currently work as an agro skills training program manager in an NGO that priortize education for rural people. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in the areas of industrial safety, public health, primary and secondary education agricultural science teaching. What qualifications do you hold? I hold a Nigerian Certificate in Education -NCE (Agricultural Science, Double Major). I also have a Bachelor of Science -B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture and Education. I have also completed several other certificate courses including Research Ethics Curriculum of University of California Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Although formal education and skill complement each other and therefore highly valuable, skill is actually the major ingredient for apex job performance. Describe the benefits of working with others Team work encourages high performance output and continuous learning/knowledge update. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone only when it is absolutely necessary promotes innovation and creativity. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience was a day a pupil in my class had a knife cut during break time. The bleeding was so uncontrollable to the point that the child became anaemic and was consequently hospitalized for about 7days. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? In the course of my career, I have learnt that no situation is unchangeable. I beleive that every child could be modelled towards high acheivement. What unique skills do you have? I have several skills, including; project design and management, fundraising, theoritical and practical teaching, public speaking, computer and Communication, etc. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is one that would enable me work with children and young peole in order to bring out their hidden pottentials for overall community development. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most intererting aspect of my field is the realization that agriculture is the baris of humao sustainance, while education is the bridge between the primitive man and the today-development- minded man. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I do not find any aspect uninteresting. Should there be discrination in recruitment in your field based on race or origin?
