Account department on an estate, before I enter the nursing faternity.During my career I worked in the Medical,Surgical,Emergency room, ICU,NICU,Maternity, Psychiatic hospital and Community Health Centre. I believe that theory and practical worked hand in hand,and are of equal value, hence, the needs for an equal balance between the two for optimal growth and personal development. What was your worst working experience? Called out one night form home to assist a young lady who was delivering her baby in the street,could not find a pair of gloves at home have to end up delivering the baby with my bear hands not knowing her status when the baby was delivered the cord was so short i had to bend with the child off the ground awaiting the arrival of the ambulance just to hear the mother say she is having a twin. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To treat all person(s) equally in the same manner I will want to be treated. As the next person in that bed might be me, and never take anything for granted for a minior suituation can be very detrimental. What unique skills do you have? Delivering of babies, Counselling, Making others laugh Interior decoration. Baking and making Pasteries. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Becoming a public nurse or a NICU specialist What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Witnessing a new life entering the world so small and innocent with all the love, joy, and emotions surrounds him/her.Knowing that I played an important role in the safety of the the mother and her baby. what are the least interesting aspects of your field? Slucing delivering linens and the cleaning of the delivery room. why did you choose nursing as a career Once I witness my mother experiencing labour pain as she was about to give birth to my sister, I was their helpless not knowing what to do I began to rub her back as I was told, I did so until help arrived, at the end of it I saw this beautiful baby there and then I decided what I wanted to be, hence my reason for been a nurse today.
