What type of job are you looking for?

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

am looking to work in totola and this is because how good they treat there workers and they provide quality care to patients and i would like to be part of the determine and reliable health team

What countries have you worked in?

i have worked in the common wealth of dominica

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

none at the momoent

What field do you currently work in?

i work in the health care system as a LPN

What fields have you worked in before?

i have worked as a cook in small restarants before

What qualifications do you hold?

i grauated from the dominica state college with a certificate in Lpn. am also registerd as a lpn in the dominica nursing councle. am a graduate at the st msrtin secondary school in dominica with 5 cxc passes 2 and 3. I hold a gpa in college of 3.59.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

skills is more valuable because at end of the day a nurse have to be able to work hard, not be lazy and to provide quality care to the patient with the little knolege that he or she has.i have experience with co workers in the health team that are books smart but when its time to perform on the ward there skills are very limited and they are not able to give quality care.

Describe the benefits of working with others

working with others u become a better person. u learn more about the management of the ward and also rare conditions. it also makes u love ur work even more

when working alone u are challenged. u become a stronger person and more independent.and u makeethical decision on ur own

What was your worst working experience?

It was my first week as a LPN and there was no charge nurse to work along with me. there was 23 patient and it was on the night shift. the night supervisor could not get an RN so she i was ask to work alone and to call her for hep if there was emergecies or care that needed to be given that was above my range. she left and i was all alone. at the end of the 12 hour shift every thing was dont and all patients was bathed. i was extremly tired becase i worked all alone on a ward. i was sick for two days because of my tired feet

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

always lisen to what ur patint is saying to u. dont matter how stupid it sounds at the time

What unique skills do you have?

making my patient trust me. and making them feel comfortable. gentle touch!!

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

being a registerd nurse

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

taking care of the elderly

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

psychiatric nursing

what was ur reason for doing nursing?

the love for my people. the blessing that u recieve from god. It is never for the money. nursing is a calling from god. not every one is made to ba a nurse
